BTW, oil at the close of trading today was $67.57/bbl. A month ago, Dave invited people to make predictions of the price over the Labor Day weekend, and since this was the last day of trading before the weekend I guess this is the price that counts.

Dave and I were the only ones to make predictions. He guessed B, $65-70, and I guessed C, $60-65. So Dave was right.

Congratulations to Dave for his correct prediction and his foresightful anticipation of the events of the past month! I guess this just shows how wrong I have been to emphasize that the future is unpredictable and is certain to surprise us...

And also, I am amazed that I was "right" because the Nymex sweet crude price totally mystifies me right now... I can't understand why it's not well over $70/barrel... Perhaps somebody can explain that to me.
