What sucks is when you get your courage up and point out a something that they are being deceptive on, and they say 'That's true, but this isn't an advanced class, so we'll just assume it's not'.

The "Here's what I was lying about yesterday/lastyear in my noninteractive lecture" model of teaching is annoying.  It's absolutely destroyed the study of history.

As a historian, I agree 100% If you try to teach "true" history, you're likely to find yourself out of a job, as our current "indoctrination script" [curriculum] has a narrative quite different from "true" history.
