Respectfully Sen. Schumer, the point is to start moving away from oil and gas by increasing efficiency, changing our lifestyle and ramping up alternatives, not subsidizing it any further. OPEC simply can't increase production because of basic GEOLOGICAL reasons, not political/economic. They are simply at the limit of their ability to continuously produce ever greater quantities of a NON-RENEWABLE resource.
