Assume:  

(1)  Your income is down by at least 50%;

(2)  Energy (and food) prices are up by at least 100%

What actions would you then take regarding your lifestyle?

My recommendation is that you try to become, or work for, a provider of essential goods and services. It sounds to me like you doing quite well.
