Gas is about 98 cents/litre here in Eastern Ontario, but no one seems worried or even grumpy about the recent price increase. It hasn't been discussed much on the news here either, although there was one short item on CBC yesterday where they interviewed a trucker, and he said the situation for truckers was looking grim. The information is available, but one has to specifically look for it.
I've been keeping my car topped up all the time and have filled a few extras gas cans as well. I've also suggested to others to do the same. If there is going to be a problem, I would think it might manifest itself next week.
Gas is 99.8-99.9 in Kitchener. Apparently stations are afraid to break the $1 mark.
Happily, as my wife and I both have Echos, and don't drive much, we shouldn't need to refill again until March 21st. We chuckle everytime we hear that some stations are limiting customers to 75L, as even if I wait until the warning light comes on, I've never put in more than 40L to fill up.
As gas prices have been above 1.20 within the last year, I haven't overheard any real talk about gas or oil.
Ontario Premier asking again for people not to panic today (28th) over the gas shortage that may extend now into March.
Any word from out East guys?
