Interview with Bill from Time's Up

Something I just saw over at Bikeblog - an interview with Bill from Time's Up - courtesy of Satya Magazine.
The interview is a good read. I have to say they are much more radicalized than I am, but I certainly share their frustration with the lack of facilities for biking in NYC. As much as I see them as a great ally in the struggle to make NYC more sustainable, based on what I have seen of them I would be very out of place at one of their meetings/rides considering my conservative appearance (as well as my lack of body piercings).

More about Time's Up below the fold

Time's Up! is New York City's direct action environmental organization run entirely by 150 or so volunteers. Their goal is to raise awareness about how our actions affect the environment and, over the past 18 years, Time's Up! has focused on several campaigns from reclaiming public space to saving our community gardens. Within the last four years, most of the volunteers have shifted their efforts toward transportation issues, bicycle riding in particular, with the hopes of making the city more bike-friendly.
